8 Questions to Ask Yourself at the End of Each Day

Leading your days with intention and returning to yourself regularly will support you in creating more ease, joy and meaning in your life and business.

Rather than moving through your day according to somebody else's schedule or living and working on autopilot doing the same things day in and day out, I invite you to pause and ask yourself the following eight questions at the end of each day.

I’ve found this to be a great reflection exercise to gain insight into how you’ve moved through your day and shown up for yourself.

Ask yourself these eight questions when your head hits the pillow, before you close your eyes or better still take out a pen and paper, write the questions down and journal on each one before you go to sleep.

Use the eight questions as a guide toward insights, ideas, and new ways of doing things. Get curious and see what comes up for you. Self-compassion and grace play a big part and remember this no such thing as perfection.

These questions will help you gain awareness and a deeper understanding about how you move through your day, and they will support you in creating more ease, joy and meaning in your life and business.

Questions

  1. Did I say yes to myself today?

  2. Did I prioritise my happiness?

  3. Did I create space for myself?

  4. Was I present throughout the day or distracted?

  5. What am I most grateful for today?

  6. Who am I most grateful for today?

  7. What is my intention for tomorrow and how do I want to feel?

  8. What do I want to create for myself tomorrow?

The answers to these questions don’t necessarily have to be big. You may have created five minutes of space for yourself during the day. That counts. Don’t overlook the small things because one small action every day adds up to powerful positive change.

Think of this as a beautiful opportunity to return to yourself, lead with intention, and to celebrate you.  This exercise can take as little as five minutes. Try it out and let me know how you go.
